Welcome to my kitchen! I am a SAHM who has rediscovered during the last few years of not working 40+ hours a week how much I love to cook. I recommitted myself to losing some weight and getting healthier last year, and have discovered even more since then how much cooking at home helps with my weight loss and fitness goals. I started menu planning on my main blog in 2010, and decided to branch out with my own food blog for 2011. Here you will find links to what I am cooking, a few recipes of my own (mostly adapted from others I have found), and my ongoing commentary of what works for our family in budgeting and planning for meals, shopping and food prep. I have a 5 year old budding chef who also helps out with the meal prep at times, and I am hoping to be able to throw some kid-friendly recipes into the mix as well.
